Kelly Culver

Culver’s practice examines the false perfection of contemporary culture, through sculpture and performance. Working with a range of materials but predominately hair to create surreal imagery. Her sculptures are a critique on the pressure of western societies’ hyper-normalised standard of living. Culver often places herself within the work, reflecting on her own role within society, which include repetitive actions that represent the submissive behaviour towards a capitalist lifestyle.
